Summer Camp
SUMMER — What an exciting time of year at the homestead! Gardens are in full swing, nature is bursting with interesting discoveries, and we soak up the energy of the sun with the perfect summer breeze to cool us off (or the occasional refreshing sprinkle of rain).
Juniper Summer Camp
This program is geared toward children aged 4–10 (entering SK or children who have attended my program before). The Juniper Program runs 9:00–3:00 for the full week and is a wonderful opportunity for siblings to participate together.
Enjoy a week full of fun activities in a beautiful yard with many unique structures for children to play, explore, and challenge themselves on. We are surrounded by forest, which we explore daily, continuously learning about the environment we live in and its amazing little critters.
Each day offers a hands-on learning opportunity for the children to take part in, along with daily crafts.
We also have a mini putt course on site, will cool off with the sprinkler each afternoon, and finish the day enjoying a nice cold freezie!
Dates and Pricing:
July 6th - 10th - $330
July 2th- 24th - $330
Rainbow Eucalyptus Art Camp
This amazing program was such a success last year that I decided to add another Art Camp this season!
We will be completing different art projects than last year while exploring a variety of artistic mediums. Each day will feature a new art theme, with some projects being worked on and completed throughout the week.
This camp is ideal for children with a love and passion for creativity and crafts. The suggested age is 6+. We will also take regular breaks to enjoy the yard and explore the surrounding forest.
Each artist will have the opportunity to create:
Paper art – including seed paper, recycled paper, and decorative paper bowls
Painting – using different mediums such as acrylics and watercolours, including creating our own colours using nature
Clay creations – designing and building unique pieces
Mixed media art – combining oil pastels, natural materials, cutting, gluing, and exploring creative ideas
Sit spots – a peaceful way to connect with nature and with oneself
…plus so much more!
Date and Cost:
July 27th - 30th $300 (please note this is a 4-day week, no camp on Friday)
Cedar Summer Camp
This program is geared toward children aged 5–12 (entering Grade 1 or children who have attended my program before). The Cedar Program runs 9:00–3:00 for the full week in July and four days following the Civic Holiday.
This week, we will spend our days exploring the forest while learning to identify trees, recognizing animal signs, and discovering other fascinating forest creatures. We will also investigate vernal pools using a microscope, allowing children to observe tiny creatures hidden from the naked eye. With a daily theme, hands-on crafts, and engaging activities, your children are sure to enjoy an enriching and memorable summer experience.
Freezies will be served daily as a refreshing cool-down after full days spent enjoying nature outdoors.
Dates and Pricing:
July 13th - 17th $330
August 4th - 7th $265
Registration for summer programs will open to the email list in late winter and to the public in early spring.
