Sapling Spring Program
Sapling Forest School Program (Ages 1–4)
A gentle, play-based forest school program for children ages 1–4, designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a love for the outdoors. Through nature exploration, sensory play, songs, stories, and child-led activities, little ones develop early social skills, coordination, and emotional resilience. Time spent outdoors supports healthy development, encourages creativity, strengthens the immune system, and fosters a deep connection to nature—laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and well-being. 🌿
What Your Child Will Experience in the Sapling Program:
Creative Play: Explore the mud kitchen and make countless unique and “delicious” creations.
Forest Exploration: Discover diverse terrain that helps strengthen gross motor skills while fostering a love of nature.
Weekly Nature Crafts: Engage in hands-on projects that build fine motor skills and spark creativity.
Inclusive Environment: Children enjoy the security of having their parents/guardians nearby while gradually gaining independence and self-confidence as they play alongside peers.
Outdoor Freedom: Embrace unstructured play, get a little messy, and experience the joy and happiness that nature naturally provides.
New to this year, there will be a table set up with curriculum-based learning activities related to the theme of the week. This will create additional learning opportunities for children who have been attending Forest School throughout the Saplings Program, as well as for older children.
Let’s build a generation of children who find peace and happiness in nature.
“No one will protect what they do not care about and no one will care about what they have never experienced”
-Sir David Attenborough
